Zertuche Construction is proud to partner with the City of Laredo on the expansion of the North Central Park Inclusive Playground — a vibrant, salamander-inspired space designed for children of all abilities.
On May 6, 2025, community members, city officials, and students gathered to break ground on Phase II of this visionary project. With funding from the 2024 Certificate of Obligation Bond and private donors, the $1.1 million addition will introduce accessible play zones, ADA-compliant features, shade canopies, and sensory-friendly equipment.
Designed by Slay Architecture, the playground’s unique layout—featuring tunnels, water elements, sand areas, and slides woven into a salamander motif—celebrates the adaptability and resilience of Laredo’s children.
Zertuche Construction is honored to bring this inclusive vision to life, helping create a welcoming and inspiring environment for all families across the region. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, just in time for the holiday season.
